In Isaiah 11, the prophet Isaiah explains to the people of Israel how Jesus, the Savior will come from the lineage –

from the family tree of David.  He explains what Jesus will be like – describing Him as full of the Holy “Spirit,”

“defending the poor,” destroying evil with Truth.

Vs. 10 says, “In that day, the heir to David’s throne will be a banner of salvation to all the world.”

Jesus was one of David’s descendants.

We are fulfilling prophecy when we are simply praising God for our salvation that He gave us by sending us Jesus Christ

to die for our sins and raise again and give us life!

Acts 15:14-

15 And this conversion of Gentiles (us) agrees with what the prophets predicted. For instance, it is written: 16 'Afterward I will return,

and I will restore the fallen kingdom of David.  From the ruins I will rebuild it, and I will restore it, 17 so that the rest of humanity might

find the Lord, including the Gentiles — all those I have called to be mine.  This is what the Lord says, 18 He who made these things

known long ago.”  NLT

You are apart of a David Generation when you are so happy that God has saved you through sending Jesus Christ and made

you apart of the family, that you love Him with all that you have, serve Him with all that you are, and live everyday to

experience His presence and be with Him again.

Gal 3:25-27  “So you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus…”

Gal 3:28-29  “For you are all Christians — you are one in Christ Jesus. 29 And now that you belong to Christ, you are the

true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and now all the promises God gave to him belong to you.”

Gal 4:5-7  “God sent Him(Jesus) to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that He could adopt us as His very

own children.   6 And because you Gentiles have become His children, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into your hearts,

and now you can call God your dear Father.   7 Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are

His child, everything He has belongs to you.”  NLT

We are apart of a David Generation – God’s family, when we…

1.  Receive Jesus Christ as Savior

Gal 3:25-27  “So you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus…”

1 John 4:9-10  “God showed how much He loved us by sending His only Son into the world so that we might have

eternal life through Him. 10 This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as

a sacrifice to take away our sins.”  NLT

Rom 5:6-11   “When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. 7 Now, no one is likely to die for a good

person, though someone might be willing to die for a person who is especially good. 8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to

die for us while we were still sinners…”

1 John 4:15-16  “All who proclaim that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.

16 We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in him.”  NLT

We are apart of a David Generation – God’s family, when we…

2.  Receive God as our Father

Gal. 4: 6b & 7  “…and now you can call God your dear Father.  Now you are no longer a slave but

God's own child. And since you are His child, everything He has belongs to you.”  NLT

Eph 2:19  “So now you Gentiles (us) are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of

God's holy people. You are members of God's family.”  NLT

1 John 3:8-9

“But the Son of God (Jesus) came to destroy these works of the Devil. 9 Those who have been born into God's family

do not sin, because God's life is in them.”  NLT

1 John 3:14  “If we love our Christian brothers and sisters, it proves that we have passed from death to eternal life.

But a person who has no love is still dead.”  NLT

1 John 5:19-21  “We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the power and control

of the evil one. 20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and He has given us understanding so that we can

know the true God. And now we are in God because we are in his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and He is eternal life.”

Acts 13:23-25  Paul is explaining who Jesus was…

23 "And it is one of King David's descendants, Jesus, Who is God's promised Savior of Israel! 24 But before He came,

John the Baptist preached the need for everyone in Israel to turn from sin and turn to God and be baptized.

25 As John was finishing his ministry he asked, 'Do you think I am the Messiah? No! But He is coming soon!”  NLT

We get to spend eternity in Heaven with God

He gave His life for us so that we can live in freedom from guilt and sin now on earth and one day,

live forever with Him in Heaven.
